Mnemonic for Assessment of pneumonia severity

CURB-65 used to predict mortality associated with community acquired pneumonia.

• Confusion (AMT score of 8 or less)
• Urea >7mmol/L
• Respiratory rate >= 30 breaths/min
• Blood pressure <90 mmHg systolic or <60 mmHg diastolic
• Age 65 or over.

Each gains 1 point. The more points, the increased risk of death.
