- Hemorrhage on CT scan
- Arteriovenous malformation / Aneurysm
- Seizures
- Hypertension (BP >220/130)
- Surgery / recent trauma
- Liver disease, varices or portal hypertension
- Anticoagulant therapy (patient already on) or PPT (prothrombin time) >15s
- Platelets <100×10^9/L
