Infective : Kala azar, malaria, enteric fever
Congestive: CCF, constrictive pericarditis, IVC thrombosis, Hepatic vein thrombosis, portal vein thrombosis and splenic vein thrombosis
Collagen diseases: SLE, Felty's syndrome
Unknown etiology: tropical splenomegaly
Primary malignacies (secondaries are rare)
Storage diseases: Gaucher's disease, Niemman Pick
