Chest Pain in the ED


In case the attending nurse sees a patient with chest pain, she should MOVE the patient to emergency care unit:

Remember MOVE:

Monitor (cardiac monitor) connect
Oxygen administration
Venous access with large bore canula
ECG to be taken



Secondary management:
MONA
  • Morphine + anti-emetic
  • Oxygen
  • Nitrates e.g. GTN or nitrate infusion
  • Antiplatelet e.g. aspirin
